     Information and Communications Technology  is an extended term for information technology  which stresses the role of unified communications and the integration of telecommunications telephone lines and wireless signals, computers as well as necessary enterprise software, middleware, storage, and audio-visual systems, which enable users to access, store, transmit, and manipulate information.

Task 5. The chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into 3 categories, from 1995-2002. Summarize the information. Write at least 150 words.

The bar chart shows the time spent by UK resdents on different types of telephone calls were the higo justhest throughout the period rising from 70 minutes in 1995 to just under 90 to 1999 after reaking a peak at 90 the following yaer,these calls had decreased to 1995-figure by 2002.

National  and international landline calls grew steadily from 38 on to 62 at the and of the period though the grwth slowed over the last two years.

There was a dramatic increase in mobile calls from 25 to 45 minutas this rise was particalarly noticeable between 1998 an 2002,during which time the are of mobile phones tripled to sum up, at though local randive calls were still the most popular in 2002 ,the gap between the three cotegories had narrowed considerately over the second half of the period in question.
